La Famiglia
A Crime Family Chronicle
“In this thing of ours, you don't choose the family. The family chooses you.”
— Don Salvetti
The Family
Patriarch of the Salvetti family. Soft voice, long memory. A heavy-set man described as overweight since he was a boy, his bulk and sedentary lifestyle have caught up with him lately, bringing on spells of chest tightness and quiet visits from private physicians. Victor has led the family for roughly fifteen years, inheriting the table when his legendary father, Salvatore 'Old Man Sally' Salvetti, passed away. In his youth, Victor was content earning quietly as just another capo under his father's reign, but when Sally’s longtime underboss Francesco 'Frank' Tafuri overstepped and was pruned for disloyalty, Victor was elevated to the second chair—securing his bloodline's grip on the family title he has held ever since.
The Don's younger brother and underboss. Sharp, modern, impatient. Runs the day-to-day while Victor watches from the study.
The family's consigliere. Lawyer's mind, priest's patience. Don Victor's right ear. Speaks last in every room — and his word usually closes it.
